Synopsis:

On the trail to Albuquerque, Gib’s horse goes lame and he gets a wagon ride from hillbillies Pa and George Scales. Down the trail they run across three outlaws Nedda Logan, her dying brother Bill and friend. The Scales recognize Bill as an outlaw with a significant reward. Pretending to be neighborly, the Scales give the three a ride, but they really want the sizable reward. Out-numbered and out-gunned can Gib arrest the outlaws and get them to town peaceably? Will the Scales kill the outlaws and Gib in order to collect? Can Gib protect the beautiful young woman from the amoral and opportunistic Scales?

 

*Bill Logan was played by Chris Alcaide who starred as Clay Culhane in the first Black Saddle pilot A Threat of Violence

Suzanne Pleshette 

Suzanne Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937 in New York City. She is the only child of dancer Gloria Kaplan and Eugene Pleshette. He managed the Paramount and Brooklyn Paramount during the big band era. She is also the cousin of John Pleshette, a Knots Landing actor. Nominated several times for Emmy’s, Suzanne is best known for her role as "Emily Hartley" on The Bob Newhart Show in the 1970's. She guest starred on many other television shows and in 1990 reintroduced her character "Emily Hartley" for the series finale of Newhart. Her most well known film role was playing the schoolteacher Annie in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963). Suzanne can also been seen in the James Garner's western comedies Support Your Local Sheriff (1969) and Support Your Local Gunfighter (1971)again playing a tomboy this time for laughs. Bing Russell

Neil Russell was born on May 5, 1926 in Brattleboro VT. ‘Bing’ is best known as Deputy Clem Foster on Bonanza, but played a variety of roles on various 60s TV westerns such as Bonanza, Gunsmoke and The Big Valley. He was equally adept at playing a sheriff or a outlaw. Bing can also be seen in many bit parts in legendary westerns such as John Sturges’ Last Train From Gun Hill (1959), The Magnificent Seven (1960) and Howard Hawks’ Rio Bravo (1959). His last role was in the Warren Beatty film Dick Tracy (1990). He was the father of actor Kurt Russell and encouraged his son to pursue acting and took the youngster to many film sets. Bing and Kurt were huge Elvis fans since Kurt worked with the King on the film It Happened At the Worlds Fair (1963). Bing would later play Vernon Presley to Kurt’s Elvis in the 1979 TV movie Elvis.

 

Bing is best known as the owner of the Portland Mavericks Baseball Club. He kept a 30 man roster because he believed the players had one last year coming to them. He felt that “it wasn’t important that they win, but to have fun.” Bing died April 8, 2003 of cancer in Thousand Oaks CA.      -Biography by 1262Mac
